School Directory

The ROE School Directory is an annually published, spiral bound listing of families’ contact information sorted by grade level and class. It contains useful school information such as the school calendar, staff email addresses, and PTO committee listings for your easy reference throughout the school year. How much does it cost?

Each family is provided a printed directory at no cost. Additional copies are available for a nominal cost at the ROE Online Store. Printing costs are funded through the sale of Business Ads and children’s Spirit Ads.

How does my information get published in the Directory?

Class listings with each child’s name are provided by the school. Family contact information is provided by parents to the PTO. In previous years, this was done online. For the 2011-2012 school year, we are gathering contact information via paper form. The information is consolidated and formatted into the Directory layout by a committee of volunteers.

If desired, you may choose to block some of your contact information from being published in the printed directory by noting this on the submission form. Blocked information may be accessed later by class parents for classroom communication purposes only.

If you do not submit your contact information, your Directory listing will be blank, although your child’s name will be listed with their class. Parents of returning students will have the same information published as last year unless a form is returned with updated information.

Families with dual households should submit contact information separately for each household. If you identify yourself as a Dual Household, each household will receive their own copy of the Directory.

How do I submit my information?

Green data update forms for returning students were distributed in May; Green data forms for new students were available at the New Family Night and Back To School Night. If you did not get a form, you may submit your information until Sept 2 via email to the directory team. The following info may be submitted: Child name, Parent(s) names, Address, up to 2 phone numbers, and up to 2 email addresses. If you have siblings at ROE or have multiple households, please let us know that as well.

How do I make a Spirit Ad for my child?

Your spirit ad can be a picture or text or both. Many people make their ad by cropping a favorite photo of their child and superimpose text by using photo editing software or Microsoft Word or Powerpoint. If you do not already have software that does this, a good suggestion is to use the free Picassa software by Google. You can download Picassa at Directory Coordinator.
