River Oaks Teams All Place in Top 15 At World Finals
Three River Oaks El. teams represented Texas at the World Finals at
Iowa State University from May 24 - 27, 2006. Every team presented fantastic, creative solutions and
we are extremely proud of all our teams. It is highly unusual to have
more than one team from the same school heading to World Finals! The
teams took two seventh places and a fifteenth place. They competed
against teams from all over the USA as well as foreign teams like
Poland, Singapore, China. The kids had a fabulous learning opportunity
as well as a great time! Ask them about pin trading!
Here are the results:
The Long/Southern Team in the Tech Transfer problem
15th place in World Finals - Molly Dyer,
Maggie Jernigan, Evan Long-Quian, Allison O'Conor, Allie Robinson,
Zach Rubin

The Caplan/Juzswik Team in the Ancient Egypt problem
7th place in World Finals - Joseph Caplan, Helen Galli,
Jacob Hopkins, Mikaela Juzswik, Sonia Margolin, Gregory Ross, Kieran
Vanderslice.

All of us at ROE and especially those involved with OM

work in helping so many of our kids make it to World Finals. She is
tireless in her efforts to build the most creative kids anywhere and
has been instrumental in building the strong tradition of OM at ROE!
